The girls really went all out for these costumes. Batgirl is based on the classic, comic book version of the character. Note the boot tops which were cut to look like the ones in our source material. One interesting points about Batgirl is that right before she was supposed to wear it, we ran out of material for the cape lining, so I used what I had for the outside edges of the cape, and finished up the inside center with black garbage bags.
My daughter was talking about updating the costume, replacing the garbage bags, scalloping the cape, and so on, for Halloween this year but I don't think she will be able to find the time.

Catwoman, is of course, based on the Julie Newmar version from the television series. The kitten in the pictures is our cat Ling, and he looks more like a panther now than a kitten. I love the shot of Catwoman reading the Batman comic book.
